Более 1 млн человек в Соединенных Штатах умерли от последствий заболевания COVID-19, сообщает телеканал NBC News.

Согласно собственным подсчетам канала, эта цифра сопоставима с населением одного их крупнейших городов страны, такого как Сан-Хосе в штате Калифорния.

Между тем, по данным Университета Джонса Хопкинса на 4 мая, в США после коронавируса умерли более 994,7 тыс. человек.

США остаются лидерами по заболеваемости COVID-19 в мире. За время пандемии более 83 млн американцев заразились коронавирусом.
