Էնդի Ուրորհոլդի վրձնի Մերիլին Մոնրոյի դիմանկարներից մեկը մայիսին Christie՚s-ի աճուրդին կդրվի 200 միլիոն դոլար ռեկորդային էստիմեյտով (սկզբնական գնահատմամբ), այն կարող էառնալ XX դարի արվեստի ամենաթանկ ստեղծագործությունը, որը երբեւէ վաճառվել է աճուրդում, մարտի 21-ին հայտնել է աճուրդային տան մամուլի ծառայությունը։

Դերասանուհու դիմանկարը՝ Shot Sage Blue Marilyn անվանմամբ, որը Մոնրոյին պատկերում է բաց փիրուզի գույնի ֆոնին, Ուորոհոլը նկարել է 1964 թվականին՝ դերասանուհու մահվանից երէ մամուլի ծառայությունն աճուրդային տան ԱՄՆ-ի ստորաբաժանման ղեկավար Մարկ Փորտերի խոսքը:

Արվեստի ստեղծագործությունը կներկայացվի Թոմաս եւ Դորիս Ամմանների բարեգործական հիմնադրամի կողմից, որն զբաղվում է երեխաներին ցույց տրվող օգնությամբ: Դիմանկարի իրացումից ստացված բոլոր միջոցները կտրամադրվեն հիմնադրամի ֆինանսավորմանը: Նկարը ցուցադրվել է այնպիստի հարթակներում, ինչպիսիք են Նյու Յորքի Գուգենհայմի թանգարանը, Փարիզի Ժորժ Պոմպիդուի կենտրոնը եւ Լոնդոնի Թեյտ պատկերասրահը, հաղորդել է ՏԱՍՍ-ը:
