Օմիկրոն շտամի շնորհիվ COVID-19-ը վերածվել է սեզոնային ՍՇՎ-ի, որը բնութագրվում է վտանգավոր մուտացիաների արագ տարածմամբ եւ տեղաշարժով ամբողջ աշխարհում։ Այս կարծիքը ՏԱՍՍ-ին տված հարցազրույցում հայտնել է իմունաբան եւ հատկապես վտանգավոր վարակների մասնագետ Վլադիսլավ Ժեմչուգովը (Ռուսաստան):
