«Ժամանակ» թերթը գրում է.

«Դեկտեմբերի 29-ին Սերժ Սարգսյանը շատ նեղ շրջանակում բողոքել է Կարեն Կարապետյանից եւ ասել, որ իր նախագահության շրջանի ամենասխալ որոշումներից մեկն է եղել Կարեն Կարապետյանին վարչապետ նշանակելը: Դրանից հետո է որոշվել Կարեն Կարապետյանի՝ 5 տարի անընդմեջ ՀՀ-ում բնակվելու վերաբերյալ տեղեկանքի հարցը բերել օրակարգ եւ դրա շահարկմամբ ամեն գնով հասնել նրան, որ Կարեն Կարապետյանը չլինի ՀՀԿ նախընտրական ցուցակում եւ զրկվի ընտրվելու հնարավորությունից:

Մեր տեղեկություններով՝ մինչեւ վերջերս տեղեկանքի «իրավական հիմնավորմամբ» զբաղվում էր արդարադատության նախկին նախարար, այժմ կառավարության աշխատակազմի ղեկավար նախարար Դավիթ Հարությունյանը, որին հանձնարարվել է դադարեցնել աշխատանքը»:
