Ադրբեջանի նախագահ Իլհամ Ալիևը հայտարարել է, որ երեկ ծանոթացել են այսպես կոչված՝ «Զանգեզուրի միջանցքի» ստեղծման հարցով աշխատանքներին: Նրա խոսքով՝ հաջողությամբ արդեն և՛ ավտոմոբիլային, և՛ երկաթուղային ճանապարհներ են կառուցվում:

Ինչպես փոխանցում է Minval.az-ը, այս մասին Ալիևը հայտարարել է Իրանի ճանապարհների և քաղաքաշինության նախարար և ադրբեջանակա-իրանական տնտեսական համագործակցության համատեղ հանձնաժողովի համանախագահ Ռուստամ Ղասիմի հետ տեսակապով կայացած հանդիպման ժամանակ:

«Մենք դրական լուրեր ենք ստանում Հայաստանից: Հայաստանն իր կողմից նախատեսում է մեկնարկ տալ այդ աշխատանքներին: Հուսով եմ, որ հետպատերազմական ժամանակահատվածը նոր հնարավորություններ կբացի ամբողջ տարածաշրջանի համար: Իհարկե, Իրանի ներդրումն այդ աշխատանքներում շատ նշանակալի է»,- ասել է Ալիևը:
