Легендарный французский модельер, фотограф и основатель дома моды Mugler Тьерри Мюглер скончался в возрасте 73 лет, говорится на его странице в Facebook.

«С прискорбием сообщаем о смерти господина Манфреда Тьерри Мюглера в воскресенье, 23 января 2022 года», - говорится в тексте.

Как сообщил агентству France-Presse представитель Мюглера Жан-Батист Ружо, смерть модельера наступила от естественных причин.

По данным парижского журнала Gala, в 1973 году Тьерри создал свою первую коллекцию женской одежды, в основу которой было положено сочетание классики и современности. Мировую известность француз снискал в 1980-х. В 1992 году учредил свой парфюмерный бренд. Мюглер покинул пост креативного директора своего дома моды в 2002 году, но продолжал шить одежду и устраивать показы.
