Հունվարի 20-ին, սպանություն է տեղի ունեցել Կոտայքի մարզում։ Ժամը 18։00-ի սահմաններում Աբովյան քաղաքի Դարանի փողոցի 2-րդ շենքի մոտից «Աբովյան» բժշկական կենտրոն շտապօգնության ավտոմեքենան պարանոցի մասում սուր-կտրող ծակող առարկայից ստացած մարմնական վնասվածքով հիվանդանոց է տեղափոխել մի քաղաքացու։

Ճանապարհին այդ քաղաքացին մահացել է։  Կոտայքի բաժնի համայնքային ոստիկանության բաժանմունքի ծառայողները տաք հետքերով պարզել են, որ մահացածը Աբովյան քաղաքի բնակիչ՝ 36-ամյա Արտակ Օվակյանն է։ 

Համայնքային ոստիկանները պարզել են կասկածյալի ինքնությունը, ով նույնպես Աբովյան քաղաքի բնակիչ է։ Նա 33-ամյա Սուրեն Բաղրամյանն է, ով հայտնաբերվել և բերման է ենթարկվել ոստիկանության Կոտայքի բաժին։  Համայնքային ոստիկանների օպերատիվ գործողությունների արդյունքում հանցագործության գործիք հանդիսացող դանակը հայտնաբերվել է։
