Ծխողներն ավելի շատ են ենթակա COVID-19-ի ծանր ընթացքի վտանգին. հետազոտություն

Ծխելը բոլորովին չի պաշտպանում կորոնավիրուսային վարակից, ընդհակառակը, ծխողները բախվում են COVID-19-ի ծանր ընթացքի վտանգին։ Այսպիսի եզրահանգման են եկել Ճապոնիայի Միջազգային առողջապահության ազգային հետազոտական կենտրոնի գիտնականները։

Ինչպես տեղեկացնում է ՏԱՍՍ-ը՝ հղում կատարելով NHK հեռուստաալիքին,  կորոնավիրուսային վարակի ծանր ընթացքի վտանգը երկու անգամ ավելի բարձր է այն մարդկանց համար, որոնք ծխում են բավական երկար ժամանակ, ընդ որում՝ վտանգն ավելի բարձր է ծխող կանանց համար։

Հետազոտությունն իրականացվել է մինչեւ 2021թ. փետրվարը 20-80 տարեկան 17 600 հոսպիտալացվածների շրջանում։ Գիտնականները պարզել են, որ հիվանդության ծանր ընթացքի վտանգը 1,51 անգամ ավելի բարձր էր երկար ժամանակ ծխող տղամարդկանց մոտ, կանանց մոտ՝ 1,94 անգամ։

Մասնագետների կարծիքով՝ բարձր ռիսկը կարելի է բացատրել նրանով, որ ծխողներն ավելի հաճախ են ունենում քրոնիկական հիվանդություններ, թոքերի եւ սրտի հետ կապված խնդիրներ, ինչը նրանց ավելի խոցելի է դարձնում կորոնավիրուսային վարակի հանդեպ։
