Մաշկի ցանը կարող է կորոնավիրուսի «օմիկրոն» շտամով վարակվելու ախտանիշներից մեկը լինել։ Այսպիսի եզրակացության են եկել բրիտանական Daily Express թերթի լրագրողները՝ վերլուծելով ZOE COVID Study հավելվածի տվյալները։

Մի շարք պացիենտներ, որոնց տվյալները հասանելի են հավելվածում, բողոքել են մաշկի կարմրությունից, ոմանց անհանգստացրել է քորը, իսկ մյուսների մոտ միայն կարմրություն է եղել՝ առանց քոսի կամ ցավի զգացողության։ Մասնագետների կարծիքով՝ ցան կարող է առաջանալ հիվանդության սկզբնական փուլում եւ երկար ժամանակ չանցնել։

Հավելվածում այս ախտանիշն արդեն անվանել են COVID-19-ի «օմիկրոն» շտամի «չորրորդ հիմնական ախտանիշ»: Մյուս երեք նշաններն են՝ քթի փակվածությունը, չոր հազը եւ գոտկատեղին ցավի զգացողությունը:
