85 տարեկան հասակում մահացել է Խորհրդային Միության լեգենդար շախմատիստ Վիկտոր Կորչնոյը:

Այս մասին հաղորդում է «ՌԻԱ Նովոստի»-ին: Կորչնոյը մահացել է Շվեյցարիայում, մահվան պատճառների մասին դեռ չի հաղորդվում:

Լեգենդար շախմատիստը ծնվել է 1931 թվականի մարտի 23-ին: 1956 թվականին դարձել է գրոսմայստեր: Ընդհանուր թվով նա հաղթանակ է տարել միջազգային 100 մրցաշարերում: 1976 թվականից Կորչնոյն ապրում էր Շվեյցարիայում: Նա տարեց հասակում էլ շարունակում էր մասնակցել մրցաշարերի:

2011 թվականի օգոստոսի նա 80 տարեկան հասակում հաղթել է վետերանների մրցաշարում:
