Հունվարի 3-ին, ժամը 18.00-ին, հիվանդանոցից ոստիկանության Աշտարակի բաժնում հաղորդում է ստացվել, որ Աշտարակի Լինչի փողոցի տներից մեկից «շմոլ գազից թունավորում» ախտորոշմամբ բուժօգնության է տեղափոխվել 5 անձ:

Ոստիկանության մամուլի ծառայությունից  հայտնում են, որ մեկնած օպերատիվ խումբը պարզել է, որ նույն օրը, ժամը 17.30-ի սահմաններում, 55-ամյա Արմեն Մ.-ն իր տան բուխարիում փայտի այրման ընթացքում փակել է բուխարու օդանցքը, ինչից առաջացած շմոլ գազը լցվել է տուն, եւ 39-ամյա Միլենա Ս.-ն, 48-ամյա Լիանա Ս.-ն, 52-ամյա Նելլի Մ.-ն, 77-ամյա Ամալյա Մ.-ն եւ 40-ամյա Բելա Բ.-ն թունավորվել ու տեղափոխվել են հիվանդանոց:
