Դեկտեմբերի 15-ին ԱԽ քարտուղար Արմեն Գրիգորյանը հանդիպել է ԱՄՆ նախագահ Ջո Բայդենի Ազգային անվտանգության հարցերով խորհրդական Ջեյք Սալիվանի հետ։ Այս մասին հաղորդում է ԱԽ գրասենյակը:

Հանդիպման սկզբում կողմերը միմյանց են փոխանցել իրենց երկրների առաջնորդների՝ վարչապետ Փաշինյանի և նախագահ Բայդենի ողջույնի խոսքերը։

Հանդիպմանը քննարկվել են Հայաստանի Հանրապետության շուրջ և տարածաշրջանում անվտանգային միջավայրին վերաբերող հարցերի լայն շրջանակ։ Այս համատեքստում քննարկվել են նաև տարածաշրջանային տնտեսական համագործակցության հնարավորությունները, որոնք անվտանգային հավելյալ երաշխիքներ կստեղծեն երկարաժամկետ կայունության և խաղաղության հաստատման համար։

Կողմերը արձանագրել են ՀՀ ժողովրդավարական բարեփոխումների ձեռքբերումները, որոնք առանձնահատուկ դերակատարություն ունեն հայ-ամերիկյան երկկողմ հարաբերություններում։ Այս առնչությամբ, Գրիգորյանը շնորհակալություն է հայտնել Սալիվանին «Հանուն ժողովրդավարության գագաթաժողով»-ին Հայաստանին հրավիրելու կապակցությամբ, ինչը նաև այդ հաջողությունների փաստացի արձանագրումն է։

Հանդիպման վերջում Արմեն Գրիգորյանը հրավիրել է Ջեյք Սալիվանին այցելել Հայաստան։
