Հայաստանի վարչապետ Նիկոլ Փաշինյանի և Ադրբեջանի նախագահ Իլհամ Ալիևի հանդիպումը մեկնարկել է երեքշաբթի ուշ երեկոյան Բրյուսելում: Ինչպես երևում է կառավարության լրատվականի տրամադրած նկարից, հանդիպմանը նաև մասնակցում է Եվրոպական խորհրդի նախագահ Շառլ Միշելը:

Հանդիպումն ի սկզբանե կրում է լարված բնույթ: Դրանից մի քանի ժամ առաջ Ադրբեջանի ղեկավարը ՆԱՏՕ-ի գլխավոր քարտուղարի հետ ասուլիսի ժամանակ հայտարարել էր, թե իբր «Զանգեզուրի և Լաչինի միջանցքները պետք է ունենան նույն մաքսային ռեժիմը»:

Ի պատասխան Ալիևի այս հայտարարության, Փաշինյանն իր ֆեյսբուքյան էջում գրել էր, որ Ադրբեջանը կոմունիկացիաների բացման հարցը փակուղի է մտցնում:

Վերջին անգամ Հայաստանի և Ադրբեջանի ղեկավարները հանդիպել են այս տարվա նոյեմբերի 26-ին՝ Սոչիում, ՌԴ նախագահ Վլադիմիր Պուտինի միջնորդությամբ:
